Private equity Advent International is reportedly considering a sale of its Netherlands-based subsidiary Mediq, Dutch economic and financial daily Het Financieele Dagblad has reported. Mediq was established in 1889 and employs approximately 3,000 people, producing and marketing pharmaceutical products and medical devices. The management apparently has not decided whether pursuing an IPO or simply selling the company to another private equity or to a competitor. Advent acquired Mediq in 2013 for €470m, through a complex delisting process, indeed the company was listed at that time.
