Johnson & Johnson to sell assets for 1 billion

Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corp, a leader in medical devices, announced that it has acquired Codman (neurosurgery) from Johnson & Johnson for $1.05bn. Thanks to the acquisition, Integra can now enter the neurosurgery market, increasing its sales volume by at least 30%. Indeed, the company generated $370m in sales in 2016. Integra’s shares rose 6% soon after the acquisition was announced, while Johnson & Johnson’s remained almost unaltered.
