Medtronic considering sale of a business unit ($5bn)

Medtronic Plc, the largest medical-devices company in the world, is reported to be preparing the sale of its business producing and commercializing needles, catheters and similar devices (Medical supplies), including mainly products obtained through the $29bn acquisition of Covidien Plc (2014). The division has an EBITDA of approximately $500m and is likely to reach a value of $5bn (10xEBITDA), analysts say. (Source Bloomberg)
